Department of Humanities is established in 1994 with an intake of 180. It is presently teaching courses like English, Communication Skills and Rural Outreach for undergraduate students of engineering and technology for an intake of 1140.There are two well-equipped language laboratories with 60 computers each in the department. K-Van Solutions software is used in language laboratories.
Presently, Dr. Renu Srivastava is Professor and Head of the department. The faculty is qualified, experienced and adequate in numbers in cadre ratio. Faculty are encouraged for doing research and publish papers in the field of professional communication, employability skills, time management, stress management and personality development and participate in national conference and international conferences. Department conducts national conferences, orientation programs, cultural events, soft skills and personality development programs time to time.
Research assistance for paper presentation and travel grants for India and abroad are provided by LNCT and government agencies like MPCST, AICTE, DST etc.

To be a well organized in academics, research and providing the students with the knowledge of English language skills and thereby enhancing their soft skills, boosting up their confidence, grooming their personality, enable them to keep pace with the wavelength of the latest trends and growing technology in the programs of Engineering and Technology at the global platform in the present scenario.

Program Educational Objectives
To improve fluency of engineering students in speaking English Language.
